I just replaced my old 1TB Samsung SSD with a new 2TB Barracuda SSD. It shows up in Disk Management but has a black bar indicating it's unallocated. I can right-click on it and see options like Dynamic Disk or GPT Disk. What's the next step to get it recognized in File Explorer?

You need to right-click on the unallocated space and choose 'New Simple Volume.' Follow the prompts that pop up to assign a drive letter, name it whatever you like, and set the maximum size if you're not using it for anything else. Once that’s done, it should appear in File Explorer.

Check out Microsoft's guide for initializing new disks if you need more detailed steps. It's pretty straightforward, but it's a good reference just in case!

Thanks for the tip! I’m usually a bit lost with system settings.
