Learning to code is definitely a key step. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but if you want to bring this app to life, you’ll need to tackle coding at some point. Collecting the necessary data might be tricky, and scraping it from various sources could be part of the process. Your idea is simple in concept—just scan a barcode and flag allergens—but the real work lies in gathering that data, which is where it gets challenging.
It might be useful to check out the Open Food Facts database. They have lots of data on food products that could help you get started with your idea!
