I have an Intel i5 2400 3.10 GHz CPU and a 1050 Ti graphics card, and I'm currently using Windows 10. I've been trying to update Vanguard (the anti-cheat software from Riot Games) and thinking about switching to Windows 11. However, both tasks are prompting me to upgrade my TPM version to 2.0, and right now, I'm stuck with 1.2. Can anyone guide me on how to upgrade my TPM to the necessary version?

Honestly, you might want to consider running a dual boot setup or swapping out for an affordable AM4 rig if you're open to that. Upgrading your hardware could be a long-term solution if you're facing multiple compatibility issues.
You definitely need a PC that supports TPM 2.0. But if you're feeling adventurous, you can bypass the TPM requirements for Windows 11 by creating a bootable USB drive with the ISO using Rufus to get it installed anyway. Just be careful if you go that route!
You can upgrade to TPM 2.0 by either finding a compatible CPU that supports it or by adding a TPM 2.0 module directly to your motherboard if it has the necessary headers for it. Just check your motherboard manual for details on what it supports!
Remember to back up your data before making hardware changes or BIOS alterations, as those adjustments can sometimes lead to unexpected data loss. Better safe than sorry!
Thanks for the tip! How would I find out if my motherboard supports TPM headers?
