I'm curious about how much the choice of hosting platform really influences website performance. I have the same website hosted on Vercel and Hostinger, and I've noticed that the performance on Vercel is significantly better than on Hostinger. Is this difference typical? Has anyone else had similar experiences?

The hosting platform can greatly impact your site’s performance, especially if you’re using shared or VPS hosting. With shared hosting, you’re sharing CPU resources with potentially thousands of other sites, which can lead to contention issues. If your server has outdated hardware, that can also slow things down. Vercel, being a PaaS, usually provides newer hardware and is optimized for performance, making it likely that you'll experience faster load times there. For consistent performance, look for hosting that offers dedicated resources and clear information on the underlying hardware.
I’m also considering VPS options since I’ve heard Hostinger isn’t great. I can see the visual improvements but my Lighthouse scores aren't improving much.
