Hey everyone, I'm thinking about buying a prebuilt PC, and I want to know how likely it is for it to get damaged during shipping. I mean, I've come across a lot of articles suggesting that it can arrive broken. Is that a common issue, even if it's not being shipped from super far away?

It's not super common for PCs to arrive damaged. I'd say maybe 1 in 50 shipments could have issues, but that's just a guess. Most of the time, they do just fine in transit!
Typically, PCs are packed really well, so they handle the shipping process quite effectively. They get shipped to warehouses before going to the retailer, so it's just another leg of the journey. Anything risky is usually well-protected from drops and leaks.
Yeah, you make a good point!
Most items shipped can face some risk of damage, but if you buy from a good retailer, you should be okay. If something does happen, just make sure to reach out to the seller for help.
As long as you go with a reputable seller that offers a warranty, you should be good. Just steer clear of brands that seem sketchy or vanish after a sale.
Definitely true!
I had a rough experience when Newegg shipped my monitor in pieces! But I did manage to get a refund without too much hassle. So be prepared just in case!
I’d say that number is a bit high, actually! It's usually even less frequent.
