How Long Does Apple Watch Battery Replacement Typically Take?

I recently took my Apple Watch in for a battery replacement since its health was below 80%. Since it's covered by Apple Care, they sent it to a repair center. I got an email yesterday (04/01/26) saying they received it and were running diagnostics, but soon after, I got another email saying they need more time because a part needs to be ordered. Initially, the local store quoted me 04/04/26 as the pickup date. Has anyone experienced something similar? What's the usual turnaround time for repairs?

Typically, battery replacements take about 5-7 business days. However, the time can vary based on the model because they usually replace the entire unit rather than just swapping out the battery. So, if they need to find a replacement unit, it might take a bit longer.

You should be able to track the repair status via the link you received. Keep in mind that timelines can differ based on the product and specific circumstances, so it’s a bit hard to give a precise timeframe without more information on your particular situation.
