I recently set my new PC down on its back for some maintenance, holding it steady with my thumb. When I let go, the right side dropped about the distance of my thumb. It wasn't a full drop since I was still holding it somewhat. Now I'm wondering if there's any chance my PC could be damaged from this slight fall, and if so, what kind of damage should I be worried about?

No worries at all! I dropped my rig from head height once, and the only casualty was my SSD getting a little loose. Just check the connections, and you should be all set.
You're probably fine! PCs are built tougher than they look. As long as everything is secured properly, there's not much to worry about from a little drop like that.
Honestly, the best way to know is just to plug it in and see if it works. If it does, then it's likely fine! Even if something went wrong, it might have nothing to do with the drop.
Exactly! I had a similar situation, and everything was totally fine after a little fall.
As long as the casing isn't made of cheap plastic, you'll likely be just fine. Modern PCs haven’t been as prone to damage from drops like back in the HDD days.
Yeah, I agree! They can take way more than that during shipping, so I think you're good.
