How Much Can Someone See If We Share an Apple ID?

I currently share an Apple ID with my dad, and I'm concerned about how much of my personal information he can access from my phone. I'm looking for guidance on what data he might be able to see and how I can ensure my privacy is maintained. Is there any way to keep my information private while sharing this account?

Yeah, everything you see on your phone is also visible to him, except for apps that don’t sign in with the Apple ID. Honestly, it’s best to set up your own Apple ID since they’re free, and you can link family accounts for oversight if needed.

I didn’t choose this setup. He set my phone up years ago, and I only found out recently. I really want to fix this.

Honestly, if you're sharing an Apple ID, your dad can see pretty much everything on your phone. That includes messages, photos, and notes. The Apple ID is meant to sync all your stuff across devices, so it's better to just get your own ID.
