How Should I Set Up Case Fans in My PC?

I'm looking to add more case fans to my PC setup. Currently, my case has one fan located at the back that came with it, and it has spaces for two more at the top. I'm wondering if I should install two intake fans at the top or if the lack of front or bottom fans means I need to consider getting a new case. Any advice would be really appreciated! If your current case has no front or bottom fans, it might struggle with airflow depending on your components' heat output. You could try adding two top fans and see how the temps are. If you find it's not cooling well, then it might be worth investing in a new case with better airflow/options.

Thanks for the insights! I’ll see how it goes with the two top fans before making any big decisions.

It’s generally a good idea to use top fans as exhaust rather than intake, especially if you don’t have any front or bottom fans. This setup helps to create good airflow by drawing cooler air in from the bottom and exhausting warm air out the top. If the case isn't too hot, you might not need to replace it right away; just verify that the airflow works well with your configuration!

That's a solid point! I actually have a similar setup, and it works fine with just the back fan plus air coming up from the bottom.
