I'm feeling a bit lost here. I've successfully installed Linux Mint on my Dell laptop and figured out a lot on my own, but I'm really struggling with adding my video library to Plex. I'm signed in on the Plex web page and when I try to add a library by browsing for my media folder, I enter /home/username/videos, but Plex won't recognize it. All my videos are in that folder, but I can't seem to get the path right or whatever it needs to add them to Plex. Has anyone else faced this kind of issue? I'm open to any suggestions to help me get my videos into Plex!

Also, make sure there aren’t any spaces in your path. A good way to verify your path is to open the terminal, navigate to your videos folder, and use the 'pwd' command to get the full path. You can then copy this path directly into Plex. Commands like 'cd' and 'ls' can help you move around and see folder contents in the terminal too!
First, just double-check that you're using the correct case in your folder path. It should be your username and not the host name of your laptop. Sometimes it’s as simple as that!
Thanks for that! I'm definitely using my Linux user name, not the host name.
Don’t forget that the Plex user needs to have read access to your media folder. If you haven't adjusted the permissions, Plex might not be able to access your home directory. There's a pretty good guide on Linux permissions on the Plex support site that could help you out! Just keep in mind that Plex usually runs under its own user like 'plex'.

I think you might be onto something. I actually haven’t figured out how to find my videos folder in the terminal! I’ll start with the 'ls' command to check my path.
