Hey everyone! I've got a Sandisk Extreme Pro SSD with 480GB of data, and I'm looking to clone everything over to a new Samsung 990 Pro NVMe with 2TB. I would prefer doing a clean install of Windows 11 Pro, but I want to make sure I don't lose any data from my old drive in the process. I don't have much experience with cloning or partitioning, so any step-by-step guidance would be super helpful. Thanks!

For a clean install, I recommend checking out this detailed guide from the subreddit which has images to help with every step: [Install Windows 11 Guide](https://rtech.support/installations/install-11/). Cloning can get a bit tricky, so if you're not confident, doing a clean install and then transferring your files is probably the way to go. You can use Clonezilla for cloning, but be aware that its interface isn't very user-friendly. There's a good video out there that explains how to use it: [Clonezilla Tutorial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hXKpnitzrw).
If you're looking for a smooth cloning experience, consider using apps like Macrium Reflect or Acronis True Image. They have user-friendly interfaces that make cloning a lot easier. Alternatively, you could use a hardware clone appliance, especially from brands like Sabrent for a straightforward cloning process.
That sounds like a solid plan! I was also thinking of going this route to avoid complications. Thanks for the advice!
Thanks for the tips! I was considering trying Macrium Reflect for cloning since I've heard it’s pretty good. Does Clonezilla cover everything I need for copying the data? Also, should I worry about partitioning Windows 11 when installing on the new drive? I can handle the Windows installation; it's just figuring out how to clone the rest of the data that’s worrying me.
