How to Connect My New GPU to the PSU?

I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 3060ti to a 5060ti. The issue I'm facing is that the old GPU had a 16-pin PCIe connector, while the new one only requires an 8-pin connection. Can I just use the 8-pin connector from the same cable, or do I need to replace the entire cable? I also found a 12-pin to 8-pin adapter in the box of my previous GPU; can I use that, and is it safe?

You can just use a single 8-pin connector if that's all the new GPU requires. It should be compatible without any issues.

But can I just plug the 8 pins into the same cable I used before, or do I need to switch to a different cable just for the 8-pin connection?

Just plug the 8-pin connector directly into the 5060Ti. It has the right slot for it, so you don’t need to change cables.

So I can keep using the same cable and just connect the 8-pin? That makes things easier!
