I'm trying to figure out how to enable email encryption in the new Outlook, similar to what we had in the classic version. I've seen some support documentation, but I want to know how I can implement this feature from the 365 admin side. Is it possible to set this up through Exchange or Purview? I have an E5 license, and I'd really like users to have the choice to encrypt their messages without forcing them into rigid rules.

You'll need to have a Purview encryption license to enable this feature. It's important for both users and admins to have the right licenses.
Does that mean every user needs their own license, or is it sufficient for just the admin to manage it?
