How to Fix CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT Error After GPU Driver Update?

I'm encountering a CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error since I updated my AMD GPU driver. My setup works fine with the integrated graphics card from Microsoft, but whenever I try to install the AMD Radeon RX 6800 driver, it crashes about six seconds after installation, freezing my screen at every boot. I've even tried a specific update for the GPU, but it hasn't resolved the issue. Luckily, I've created restore points, so I can test different solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your graphic card might be the culprit if it's crashing immediately after the driver installs. If you can, try testing the card in another PC to see if the same issue occurs. If it does, you may need to consider getting a replacement.

I might have to do this, but it's odd because it runs fine if I'm just watching a YouTube video. It only crashes if the video stops for too long or when I try to play a game.

You could also try rolling back to a previous driver version until you find one that works well with your setup. Sometimes the latest drivers can have bugs that haven't been sorted out yet.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely give that a shot.
