How to Fix Ethernet No Internet Access on Windows 11?

I'm having trouble with my PC's internet connection after a power outage. My setup is Windows 11 with a MAG B550 Tomahawk motherboard and I typically use Ethernet since I don't have Wi-Fi. After the outage, I reset my router, and the internet works fine on other devices with the same Ethernet cable. I've tried disabling the LAN in BIOS, updated the drivers, and executed several commands in the command prompt, such as 'netsh winsock reset' and 'ipconfig /release', but I keep getting 'media disconnected'. Interestingly, my Plex server on the same PC can still connect to my local network over Ethernet. I'm not sure what's causing this issue, and I'd appreciate any help!

Are you seeing any activity lights on both the Ethernet port on your PC and the router? Also, did you check if you can connect using another device with the same Ethernet cable? Trying a different cable could help isolate the problem too.

Yes, there are activity lights on both ends, and I confirmed I can connect my laptop using the same cable. I also tried a few different cables but had no luck.

First, have you tried pinging a website through the command prompt? That can give you an idea if your PC is reaching the internet. Also, check your router settings to ensure it recognizes your PC with the correct IP address.

My router does show my PC with an IP address, but when I ping a few websites, I'm getting 'could not find host'. What could that mean?
