How to Fix Input Lag on My New Insignia TV?

I've just bought an Insignia 55" F50 series QLED TV and an 8-foot Insignia HDMI cable. While playing games on my Xbox, I've experienced a significant input lag of almost half a second, which makes gaming very frustrating. Previously, I had another Insignia TV that didn't have this issue, even using the same HDMI cord that came with the Xbox. My current TV is set to low latency mode and is in game mode, so I'm not sure why there is still so much lag. Any suggestions?

Have you checked if your TV has a dedicated Game mode? Sometimes, the settings can jump into some processing features that really mess up gameplay, even when you think they're optimized. Double-check the menus to make sure everything is appropriately set for gaming.

It might be that your TV is defaulting to settings that aren't great for gaming. If game mode is enabled, try switching off or tweaking any extra processing features—it should help with lag and may even improve the picture quality!

Could it be related to controller lag? I’ve noticed that if an HDMI cable runs too close to the console, it can mess with how the controller responds. Using a wired controller usually helps. Did you try connecting your controller directly with a USB-C cable?

I actually have my HDMI going behind the Xbox into the wall, but I did test with a wired controller just to see if that might work—it didn’t seem to help my situation.
