I finished the CS50 course during my college holidays back in early 2025 and followed it up with The Odin Project. I was consistent for a few months, but around mid-2025, I really struggled with Data Structures and eventually gave up. Now that I'm on holiday again, I want to dive back into programming, but I haven't written any code in the last five to six months and I've forgotten a lot. What would be the easiest and quickest way for me to brush up on the basics? Should I tackle the projects I started, go through the courses again, or check out some YouTube tutorials? I feel a bit lost right now.

I suggest you jump right back in at the point where you left off. You'll start remembering things as you go along. Plus, using documentation can really help you refresh your memory on certain concepts as you work. I'm planning to restart The Odin Project from where I stopped, and instead of rewatching tutorials, I’ll watch them only when needed. Trust yourself, you’ve got this!
Make sure to heavily document your code as you start coding again. It'll help you read your code better and makes debugging a breeze. For instance, when calling a function, explain what it’s expected to do and how your code handles errors. It’s a lifesaver, trust me!
Starting small is key! Maybe redo a few of the projects you were working on before. It’s a good way to ease back into it, and you'll find that a lot of what you learned will come back to you pretty quickly.
Hey there! Just keep at it. Focus on small projects first to rebuild your skills, and you'll find your flow returning. Remember to keep your stack updated!
Just jump back into coding! Try redoing the last project you felt comfortable with or tackle some easy tasks on Exercism for practice. The more you practice, the easier it will come back.
