I'm trying to get HDR working with my 55" LG B3 OLED connected to a mini PC running Debian 13 Plasma. I'm using integrated Vega 5 graphics from an AMD Ryzen 4300u. However, when I enable HDR, everything looks washed out. Is there a specific display server or GPU driver that properly supports HDR for OLED displays?

Check whether you’re using a TV or a monitor. TVs often default to a different color space than monitors, and that can lead to washed-out colors. If your TV supports full-range RGB, enable it in your settings. If it doesn’t, you might need to adjust the output on your computer to match the limited color space that the TV uses.
Since you mentioned it's an LG OLED TV, make sure you’re in gaming mode to minimize lag, but don’t forget about the color settings on the TV itself. If you have a good cable, connecting directly might help. Regarding tuning color space in KDE/Plasma, you can usually find one of those settings under display configurations. You might need to experiment a bit to find the right combo for HDR.
First, make sure your HDMI cable is capable of handling 4K HDR. Standard HDMI 2.0 can only handle 4K HDR at 60Hz, so if you’re using it, that could be an issue. Also, note that currently, the amdgpu driver doesn't support HDMI 2.1 yet, so that could be affecting your setup too.
