I'm trying to switch back from Linux Mint to Windows 10 on my laptop because I need some specific software for school. I've made a USB drive to install Windows, but my laptop just won't detect the SSD when I try to boot from it. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Have you checked in the BIOS to see if the drive is detected? If the SSD shows up there, it sounds like it might be a boot priority issue. You might need to change the settings to prioritize booting from the USB.
First off, what make and model is your laptop? This can really help diagnose the issue. Also, do you have access to another computer? It might help to check the USB drive on a different machine to make sure it’s bootable.
If it's detected in BIOS, that's good news! Sometimes, just resetting your BIOS settings or changing the boot mode from UEFI to Legacy can help.
