I recently set up SMTP2GO on our multifunction printers to scan documents directly into email after migrating to Exchange Online. The problem is that when users scan documents, they receive .msg files with the scanned content embedded inside. I'm looking for a way to configure it so that they only receive the scanned file directly in the email rather than in a .msg format. I found out that one of our mail flow rules was adding a warning banner, and I set that rule to ignore for now, but I'd appreciate any other suggestions or solutions.

It sounds like a mail flow issue. In our experience, ensuring the email from the scanner includes body text can help with similar problems. Maybe try adding a short message or blurb to the emails? That fixed it for us in the past!
That makes sense! So what do you mean by adding a blurb? Was it like a standard message in the body of the email?
