Hey everyone, I recently discovered that my laptop was infected with an info stealer trojan. It took me about 6 days to notice the issue, and by that time, 5 of my accounts had been compromised. Thankfully, I managed to recover those accounts and tightened up their security after resetting my PC. However, I'm wondering if the reset I did is sufficient, or should I go for a bit-level reset? Also, is this type of virus capable of spreading through my home Wi-Fi network?

Chances are, a standard reset might not be enough if you suspect serious malware. I'd recommend reinstalling Windows from a USB stick instead. Don't forget to change your passwords and enable two-factor authentication while you're at it. Plus, consider using a password manager for extra security.
You might want to think about why you have so many accounts on your laptop in the first place. Just a tip — keeping fewer accounts can sometimes lessen the risk. But sorry to hear about your compromise; I know it can be a pain!
Just a heads-up, I got this malware from trying to install a cracked copy of FL Studio. It's definitely a risky move; I've learned my lesson the hard way.
