How to Keep My Room Cool While Gaming on My PC?

I'm dealing with a situation where my bulky Acer PC heats up my room significantly after about 30 minutes of gaming. Unfortunately, my AC isn't helping since the thermostat is in another room. In the winter, I could just open a window, but that's not an option now that it's summer. I'm thinking about getting a standalone AC unit that can vent heat out through my door since my window can't accommodate any standard system. I'm looking for ideas or alternative solutions—what have you found that works?

A box fan can really help with air circulation. You should also look into optimizing your PC's components for better efficiency. Venting an AC unit out the door might not work exactly as you hope. What about your windows? If they open at all, there are portable units designed to fit slightly open windows with a vent hose that could work.

If you can, try undervolting your CPU and GPU; it can help reduce heat output. Additionally, capping your FPS is a smart move—there's no reason to run above your monitor's refresh rate.

One of the most effective ways to tackle the heat issue is to decentralize. If you can't ventilate out the hot air effectively, consider moving your PC to a different room altogether.

Another solution is to place your PC in a different room altogether and run USB and HDMI cables to your room. That way, you can game without adding heat to your personal space.

In my office, I keep my gaming PC cool by running a ceiling fan, plus a small desk fan that blows warm air out, and I also have a vent booster to pull more air in from the HVAC. It really helps with temperature control.
