Hey everyone! I recently ordered a new PC, but it turns out the CPU cooler's mounting system is broken. The plastic screws that came with it are in bad shape. Can I just grab any random plastic mounting kit online, or do I need something more specific to work with custom coolers?

When it comes to Intel stock CPU coolers, they usually come with their own built-in plastic screw or rivet system. With nearly every aftermarket cooler I've tried, there's a backplate you install, and everything needed usually comes with it. So, while some coolers might have similar designs by coincidence, I'd recommend using the specific mounting hardware that comes with your cooler instead of mixing and matching.

Gotcha! I attached a pic of my cooler here - . Do you happen to know the brand?
