I've got a setup where I use two drives—one for my OS and another for all my Docker files and info. Unfortunately, my OS drive just failed, and I'm in the process of replacing it. I manage my containers through Portainer, and I'm wondering about the best way to restore my setup. Is the best approach to reinstall Docker and Portainer, then re-download the images for the applications I want to use? After that, do I just copy over the data files from the drive that contains my Docker info? Or is there a more efficient method I should consider?

It sounds like you're looking to transfer all your data folders rather than just Portainer itself. If your services were deployed using Portainer Stacks, you'll need to redeploy those stacks first and then move your existing data to overwrite the newly created files and folders.
You might have to re-download the Docker images after reinstalling everything, unfortunately. What operating system are you using? Also, were you using Docker and Portainer with Docker Compose or just the run command for setup?
