How to Restore the Flashlight Feature on an iPhone XR?

My mom accidentally deleted the flashlight feature from her iPhone XR and now I can't figure out how to get it back. It's not showing up in the App Store or the settings, and I can't find a way to re-enable or re-download it. Interestingly, when she uses Siri and says "lumos" or "nox," the flashlight still works, but she wants to be able to turn it on and off with a button. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Factory resetting could help, but I totally get why she’s hesitant! That could mean losing everything, especially if she’s not tech-savvy. Maybe guide her through checking for the flashlight in the control settings first? It should still be built-in and might just need reactivating.

Have you checked to see if the flashlight is hiding in the control panel? Just swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to pull it up. If it's not there, you might be able to add it back. Long press on the control panel just like you would when rearranging apps, and it should let you edit that menu. Look for an option to "add control" at the bottom and see if the flashlight is listed there! It can't be deleted completely, so it should be easy to restore.

Yeah, I've had that issue too. Sometimes it just disappears from the control center for no good reason. If she can't find it in the App Store, that's because it’s not an app you can download; it’s integrated! Just try the control center method I mentioned earlier.
