I recently purchased a MacBook Air from Best Buy about five days ago, but I accidentally threw away the original packaging. I'm planning to return it for a refund and I'm wondering if the missing packaging will affect my ability to do so. Does anyone have any advice on how I can proceed? I really don't want to lose money on this return.

Are you having issues with the actual MacBook? Knowing that might help others give better advice on your situation.
If you tossed the packaging, your options might be limited. Just to clarify, was that case actually part of the MacBook Air package or a separate item? I don't think Apple usually includes a case in their packaging, but I could be wrong.
The best way to get accurate info is to check directly with Best Buy. They have specific return policies that may require all accessories and packaging to be included. Here’s a link to their return policy for more details.
When you mention 'case,' do you mean the thin paper sleeve that the MacBook comes in? If that's the case, you should be alright as long as you still have the actual box and everything inside it.
No, I meant the actual Apple packaging, not just the paper sleeve.

Yeah, I saw that under Special Considerations, they mention you should return everything with all accessories and packaging.
