How to Tweak BIOS Settings on My New MSI Build?

Hey everyone! I recently built my first PC in quite a few years, and while it's running smoothly, I'm a bit nervous about adjusting the BIOS settings. I have an MSI B-650p motherboard, an R5 7600X CPU, and a Crucial Pro 32GB DDR5 RAM kit (2x16GB) with a CL36 rating at 6000MHz. Currently, A-XMP is disabled, and the DRAM speed is set to auto. Should I enable A-XMP and select profile 1 or profile 2? Also, should I manually set the DRAM speed to 6000MHz? I'm using a 5070ti GPU and a Crucial P310 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. Is there anything else I should adjust? Thanks!

I switched my XMP to profile 1 and it rebooted fine, but I noticed in HWINFO that the memory clock is showing 3000MHz. Is it supposed to only show that? Will it ramp up to 6000MHz when I play games?

The clock speed you're seeing is actually normal. DDR RAM runs at half its advertised speed when showing actual clock speeds. So, your 6000MHz RAM is indeed functioning as it should; it's just that 3000MHz is the real, measured speed.

Just go ahead and set the XMP profile; your RAM speed will take care of itself after that. Don't worry too much about messing it up, you can always reset the BIOS if needed!
