I'm not very familiar with the technical side of AMD drivers on Linux. I understand it's open-source and integrated into the kernel. Can someone explain how the recent changes will affect the drivers used in different Linux distributions? Will it be similar to the situation on Windows, where they only receive security updates and no new features?

Nope, just keep using your Linux setup as normal. It's pretty solid as it is!
No. Drivers will continue to function as expected.
No impact expected. However, I think the 5000 and 6000 series probably weren't going to receive new features anyway. Older hardware is often left behind in these cases.
It really makes no difference for Linux drivers. They're independent of AMD's changes since the open-source community handles them directly.

Exactly! I doubt we'll see FSR4 on the older series, given how barely it was mentioned for the newer 7000 series.
