I Bought a 70W Apple Charger but It’s Actually 68W – Can I Exchange It?

Hey everyone! I picked up an Apple 70W power adapter at the Apple store back in January, but I just realized that the one I received is actually rated for 68W. The model numbers on the box don't match the ones on the adapter either. Do you think I can request an exchange for this? Thanks in advance!

What Mac are you using this power adapter with? The 2022 MacBook Airs and the newer 14-inch MacBook Pros charge just fine with adapters ranging from 30W to 96W. In fact, the difference in charging speed between the 68W and 70W is pretty negligible for most users. But since it's nearly June now, keep in mind that Apple typically requires you to report returns within 14 days, so that might complicate things. It’s also worth considering that you could have accidentally swapped your adapter with someone else’s.

I'm using it with a 2017 MacBook Pro 13 inch. I never take the adapter outside, so it’s unlikely I swapped it with anyone.

Did Apple even release a 68W adapter? That’s not one I’m familiar with.
