I'm currently building a PC (check it out [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2swz3w)) with an i9 14900K and a 3080 12GB, but I'm considering upgrading to a PNY RGB 5090 instead. PC Part Picker suggests that I might need around 1030W for the upgrade. I just built this system last month and I'm hesitant to upgrade my Corsair 1000W Gold PSU. Can anyone tell me if the 1000W will suffice, or would I be better off going with a 5080 instead? I do video editing, streaming, and playing games at 2K, and while I'm not focusing on 4K gaming just yet, I want to future-proof my setup!

Honestly, if you're gaming at 1440p, the 5070 Ti or even the 5080 is a better bang for your buck. The 5090 is great for future-proofing, but you might not need all that power right now. Just make sure whatever you choose fits your workload!
I see your point. I mainly want the 5090 for future-proofing and the performance benefits for editing. Do you think it's worth it over the 5070 Ti?
