I found a GeForce RTX 4090 Aero for $1,950 on Facebook Marketplace, but with the $50 PayPal fees, it would come out to around $2,000. The seller claims it's lightly used and hasn't been overclocked. He's got nearly 200 five-star reviews, so I trust him a bit. I currently have a 3060 Ti, so this would be a huge upgrade for me. I've heard of folks snagging used 4090s for between $1,300 and $1,600 though, and I'm questioning whether I should compare this price to a few months back. What do you think? Should I take the plunge? Amazon has similar cards for $2,400 and new ones go up to $3,000, which is frankly outrageous. I'm not looking for a 5090 because it feels like overkill for my setup (my monitor only goes up to 144 Hz), and I really want a white GPU. If I'm paying over $2,000, I want it to be exactly what I want!

If you're looking for a specific aesthetic like that Aero in white, I totally understand. But keep an eye out for deals! Prices fluctuate, and with the market changing, you might find a better one around the corner. Just remember you’ll be using it on a 144 Hz monitor, so it might not be worth overpaying right now!
I wouldn't pay that much for what essentially is a used GPU from someone on Facebook. A new 5080 is a much smarter buy when considering price versus performance. Plus, you should worry about resale value; it’ll be easier to sell a new card later on if you decide to upgrade again.
Honestly, that sounds like a pretty steep price for a used RTX 4090. Since new cards like the 5080 are going for much less, it might be worth considering a new card instead. Warranty and the peace of mind that comes with it are huge benefits!
But isn’t the memory in the 5080 less? I've heard that the 24 GB in the 4090 really makes a difference when it comes to performance.
True that! But isn't it a bummer that the 5080 doesn't have the same RAM? I feel like the extra 8 GB could be a game changer.
