Is 32 GB or 64 GB RAM Better for My New Build?

I'm planning to upgrade my setup from AM4 to AM5 and found good deals on RAM. I'm choosing between a Corsair 64 GB (32 x 2) 5200 MHz C40 kit for about $360 and a 32 GB (16 x 2) 6400 C36 kit, also for $360. There's also a 32 GB kit with expo support for $475. I'm going with a Ryzen 9 9950X and the ASUS ProArt X870E Creator. I mainly use my PC for gaming, software development, and 3D rendering. I heard that using XMP on an AMD motherboard should be fine, but will I need to tweak any settings? How much of a downside is picking slower RAM?

I’d say go for the 32 GB at a higher speed. Your CPU and motherboard are capable of handling the faster RAM, and 32 GB is sufficient for most users unless you're into heavy-duty tasks like Blender that require a ton of RAM. If you have a high-end CPU with a good cache, then larger RAM is beneficial, but go for speed if you can.
