I'm considering buying a used RTX 4070 Ti Super for $650, but I'm also tempted by the idea of purchasing a brand new 5070 (non-Ti) for a bit less. I have a 4K monitor but my budget doesn't stretch for a 4K-capable card, so I'd primarily be using DLSS upscaling. Is this a good deal, or should I go for the newer model instead?

The 4070 Ti Super is stronger than the 5070 non-Ti, and even though a used GPU is a bit of a gamble, many folks have had positive experiences. Just make sure it wasn’t abused in mining—then you should be good. Plus, it’s been tested by the previous owner, which reduces risk!
It's definitely a good price! Just keep in mind that while this card is great, anything below a 4090 or 5090 will require some trade-offs for 4K gaming. Plus, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the 5070 since it has less VRAM than the 4070 Ti Super, which could be a big factor.
Yeah, the 4070 Ti Super has 16GB of VRAM, which is great compared to the 12GB in the 5070.
Honestly, $650 is a solid deal. I picked up my 4070 Ti Super for around $900 after tax, and it’s still performing like a champ. It's definitely capable of handling 4K with DLSS upscaling, so if it’s in good condition, I’d say go for it!
Crazy how prices seem to shift so much!
Yeah, it’s only a year old, and mine is still going strong too!
I think $650 is a good price right now. Similar models are going for $800 or even more. I’ve been using my 4070 Ti Super since it launched, and it’s a beast at 4K with ray tracing. That said, if you’re not looking to compromise, you might have to with any card below the 4090 series, but DLSS helps a lot!
Do people still mine with GPUs? I thought that was mostly over!
