Hey everyone, I recently bought a refurbished Intel NVMe SSD (model SSDPEKNW512G8H) with a 512GB capacity. According to CrystalDiskInfo, its health is showing 83%. Here are some stats:
- Total Writes: 28,953 GB
- Power-On Hours: 22,909
- Power Cycles: 940
- Temperature: 39°C while idle
I typically write about 12GB per week and use it for around 60 hours a week. Given these details, how much longer do you think this SSD will perform well before I start noticing issues? Is this purchase riskier than it seems? Thanks for your insights!

That drive is showing a bit of wear, but considering your light usage, it should hold up for several more years. Just keep in mind, it's better not to use it as your main system drive or for anything super critical.
If the wear continues at this rate, you might get around 15 more years from it. But keep an eye out for any signs of trouble along the way!
The 660p model has a lifespan of around 100TBW, and you've got about 71TB left to play with. It's not a bad buy, but make sure you got it for a bargain since you can find new drives that are faster and more reliable for about $45.
Honestly, I’d start thinking about a replacement once the health dips to 50-70%. With this level of usage, you could be waiting a few weeks or months before issues show up, so keep that in mind!
Have you had issues when your SSD was in that 50-70% health range?
I snagged it for 28 bucks, so I think I did alright!
