I'm feeling a bit lost in the current GPU market. I built most of my PC back in January, hoping to grab a 5080 or 5070 Ti, but that plan went south. After a bit of a search, I ended up picking up a 9070 XT Gaming OC for $720, but it had awful coil whine that I just couldn't live with. Now, I'm looking at the ASUS TUF 5070 Ti for around $1000 at Best Buy and Newegg, which seems steep. It's one of the better 5070 Ti options out there, but with so many cards at higher prices, I'm starting to wonder if I should even go for it or keep waiting for prices to drop. I'm planning to pair it with a 1440p OLED display and hold onto it for at least 1.5 to 2 generations. What do you all think?

I hear you! The pricing is definitely rough. In the UK, it seems like prices are dropping, while the US market is still sky-high with limited stock. It sounds like you're at a crossroads; paying a premium now might be better than waiting indefinitely for prices to drop — which may or may not happen anytime soon. If you're looking for a solid build, sticking with a decent cooler is the way to go. Just keep your expectations realistic with prices being what they are.
Yeah, it feels like patience might pay off. But at the same time, just being done with the build sounds pretty appealing.
