Is a 1000W PSU sufficient for my new PC build?

I'm currently building a new PC after eight years with my last one. I'm considering how much power I need from a PSU. Specifically, could I get by with a 1000W power supply, or should I spend an extra £100 for a 1200W one? I'm also thinking about adding two more NVME drives in the future, so any advice on power requirements would be appreciated!

Yes, you can use a 1000W PSU, but honestly, if you’re already spending a lot on a high-end build, go for the 1200W. It’s not a huge price difference and gives you peace of mind, especially for those future upgrades!

I totally get it! It's easy to want to save where you can, but at this level of spending, it's worth it.
