I'm planning to upgrade from AM4 to AM5 and need advice on AIO coolers. I currently use the old AMD Wraith Prism, but I'm considering a 240mm AIO. My setup includes a Corsair 4000D case and an RX 6950 XT GPU, so I'm concerned about fitting a 360mm AIO in the front. Since I'm not overclocking, will a 240mm AIO cool the Ryzen 7 7700X sufficiently?

Yeah, I think a basic tower cooler is more than enough. Unless you continuously push the CPU to its limits, a 240mm AIO won't offer much benefit over an air cooler. If you're considering aesthetics, then go for it, but functionally, it's not needed.
Honestly, the 7700X is a 105W CPU, so the Wraith Prism is actually sufficient. A 240mm AIO is kind of overkill unless you're after aesthetics. If you're looking to save some cash, you could stick with the Wraith or grab a budget tower cooler for around $35 that will do just fine. An AIO is nice, but it doesn’t offer much more in performance than a decent air cooler. Just avoid the pricey names unless you're really into the looks!
Totally agree, a good tower cooler should be perfectly fine for this CPU. A 240mm AIO sounds nice, but if you're not overclocking, it's really not necessary. Stick with something practical unless you just want it for the looks!
From my experience, a 240mm AIO doesn’t outperform a decent air cooler significantly. If you're not overclocking, just go with a solid air cooler or stretch for a 360mm if you're looking for more cooling potential for future upgrades.
Ahh cool, good to know! I thought the Prism might be outdated. I'll definitely keep it and save the money. Thanks!
