I'm considering buying a 3080 Ti for about $395, which translates to roughly that in the UAE where I live. I know it has some power consumption issues, but I'm curious if it's worth it overall. Any thoughts?

The 3080 Ti is pretty powerful but does consume more energy than something like a 4070. For around the same price as used options in Europe, it’s decent. However, if you can find a 5060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM, that would be a newer model, although slightly weaker. It might end up being more power efficient too!
If you can find a 4070 Super or a 5070 for a similar price, I’d recommend going for one of those instead. The performance is close, but the newer models have better power efficiency and frame generation tech. That said, the 3080 Ti is still a beast for 1440p gaming! Just make sure it’s in good condition and that your PSU is up to the task—ideally around 850W—and use separate cables for the connectors, not pigtails.
If the 3080 Ti you're looking at has a 400-450 watt rating, I'd say go for it! It's a solid deal at that price.
Honestly, I’d probably pay a bit more for a new GPU if I could. But if you’re on a tight budget, $400 is a reasonable price for a solid card. Just make sure it can meet your gaming needs before deciding.
