Is a 48-inch desk too small for dual 27-inch monitors?

Hey everyone! I'm setting up my new PC build and have chosen a 48-inch wide desk with a raised section for my monitors. However, my setup area only has 56.5 inches of width, so I can't really go bigger. I'm curious if this desk size is too small to accommodate dual 27-inch monitors for 1440p gaming. I plan to use monitor arms for better positioning. Any thoughts on whether this setup will work? Thanks!

It sounds tight! Generally, monitor stands will take up space equal to the width of your monitors, which could be tricky with two 27-inch screens. So, without the arms, you'd likely have issues fitting them comfortably, especially if you want to angle one slightly for better visibility. But if you're using monitor arms, you should be golden! These will allow you to position the monitors exactly how you want without taking up extra desk space.

You should be okay! Keep in mind that while 27-inch monitors have a diagonal measurement of 27 inches, their width is actually about 24 inches. Using monitor arms will definitely give you the flexibility to adjust their position, including the option to place one vertically if needed. This way, you can optimize the space and ensure it feels comfortable at your setup.
