Is a 4K 240Hz QD-OLED Monitor Worth It for My Setup?

I'm on the hunt for a new monitor and have my eyes on the ASUS ROG Swift 32" 4K OLED PG32UCDM. However, I'm curious if my current PC setup can truly handle it. I'm running an Intel Core i5-13600K and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, and I play both multiplayer and single-player games. Can I realistically run games at 4K resolution and make this monitor worth the investment?

Consider looking for dual mode monitors that support 4K at one refresh rate and can do higher refresh rates at 1080p. It’s versatile and could save you the hassle of constantly adjusting settings.

Didn’t know that was an option! Sounds like a good choice for my second monitor too.

With your setup, you may struggle to run games at 4K without lowering the settings to low or dropping to 1440p. I've got an i9 setup with a 3070 on a 4K monitor and had to cut back settings to get decent frame rates in newer titles. If you're sticking with the 4060 Ti, you might be better off looking at the 4080 or 5090 for a smoother 4K experience. Lowering the resolution can help too, trust me!

Good point! I might just have to settle for a 1440p option instead since I’m not looking to upgrade my PC soon.

I have a similar setup, but I went with a Samsung G80SD monitor. A 4K monitor at that refresh rate will really push your 4060 Ti to its limits. If you’re considering it, look for a monitor that allows quick switching to 1080p for more demanding games. A 27-inch 1440p OLED might also be a solid alternative if you want great quality without the performance stress.

Any recommendations for a solid 1440p OLED? I’m checking out the MSI 271QRX QD-OLED 360Hz, but not sure if the price jump is worth it for what I need.
