Is a 550W Power Supply Adequate for My Build?

I'm currently working on my PC build, and I'm wondering if my 550W power supply is sufficient. Here's the rundown of my components: I'm using an RTX 5050 GPU with 8GB, a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, an Aorus Elite V2 B550M motherboard, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB RAM (2x8GB), an M.2 SSD, a Corsair TX550M PSU, four case fans, and a Be Quiet cooler. I'm also considering an upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600X, but I'm concerned about whether my PSU will handle it along with some extra headroom, especially since I plan to add two more case fans.

Yes, your 550W PSU will handle your current setup just fine.

A 550W PSU is generally enough for your current setup. However, if you can, you might want to consider the Ryzen 5 5700X instead of the 5600X for better performance. That should also run fine on your PSU!

You're in a good position. For reference, I run a Ryzen 9 5900X and a 9070XT, and I usually pull around 480-500W in gaming. Your setup with the RTX 5050 and 5500 won't tax the system nearly as much, likely keeping you under 200W total. If you're aiming for better gaming performance, think about upgrading your GPU too!
