Is a 550W PSU Enough for My Ryzen 5 7500F and RTX 5060 Build?

I'm putting together a budget PC for about $720, featuring a Ryzen 5 7500F, an RTX 5060, 16GB of Kingston FURY Beast RAM, a 245GB SSD plus a 500GB M.2 drive, all running on a 75Hz DELL monitor (with plans to upgrade later). My main concern is whether a 550W power supply will be sufficient for these components. Also, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my overall build at this price point. Keep in mind I already own some parts like the PSU, SSDs, and case!

I think you're on the right track with your build, but don't forget that 12GB of VRAM won't hurt, especially if you're not using shaders. However, if your gaming needs aren't too demanding, you might be okay with the 5060. Just also be aware of the pricing and availability of parts in your area, since they might be higher than in other locations!

Yeah, I get that—it can be a real hassle finding good deals depending on where you live!

Make sure to do some price checks at local stores—sometimes they can be way more expensive than online!

Honestly, the RTX 5060 isn’t the best choice since it only has 8GB of VRAM, which falls short for many modern games. Have you considered the Intel Arc B580? It performs between the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti, plus it comes with 12GB of VRAM, and it's only around $250! Also, I suggest aiming for a 1TB SSD and maybe bumping your RAM to 32GB for better performance overall. Your current case and PSU should be fine too! Just remember to upgrade your monitor later on when you can! Let me know if you need help with anything else!

You really should go for the Arc B580 if you find it at that price. The 5060 feels kind of outdated already!

I hear you on the budget! But going with AM5 is smart for future upgrades. Just keep an eye on prices as they can vary!
