Is a 700W PSU enough for a 7090XT and Ryzen 5600X?

I'm planning to upgrade my GPU from a 3070 to a 7090XT, and I'm curious if my 700W power supply is sufficient for this setup. Do I need to consider upgrading my PSU as well?

I actually ran a 7090XT with a Ryzen 5800X on a 650W PSU and never had any issues, so you should be alright with 700W too.

It largely depends on the PSU quality. If your PSU delivers 700W at 12V, then you should be good, but make sure that's the case! Just check the specifications to confirm.

Oh, I checked and it's actually 648W at +12V and then some, so total combined is 700W.

Yes, 700W should be enough, but if you're thinking about future upgrades, you might want to consider getting an 850W PSU just to be on the safe side.

Honestly, 700W should handle it just fine! You're looking at around 450W draw while gaming, so you should be all set.
