Is a 750W Bronze PSU Enough for an RTX 3080 and i5 13600K Build?

I'm planning to build a PC with an RTX 3080 and an i5 13600K, and I'm wondering if a 750W Bronze power supply is sufficient. Most PSU calculators suggest that 650W is the minimum needed for my setup. Since the 750W PSU provides 660W, will this setup be safe, or could it potentially harm my components or cause system failures?

You might want to aim for at least a 750W Platinum PSU instead. Bronze models tend to deliver less than 700W on the crucial 12V rail, which can be risky. What’s your budget for the PSU?

A 750W PSU should technically provide enough power for an RTX 3080 and i5 13600K. However, some 750W power supplies can trip under transient spikes from the GPU. In the past, 850W was often recommended for stability. If you're concerned, you might want to consider upgrading for safer operation.

Yep, 750W is generally plenty for your setup! The Bronze rating isn't super critical; just make sure to check a PSU tier list for reliability.
