Is a 750W Power Supply Enough for an RTX 5080?

I'm considering upgrading to an RTX 5080 since the prices are pretty good in my area—around 1799 AUD for a Galax 5080, while other brands are over 2200 AUD. Currently, I have a 7800X3D processor and a SF750 750W power supply. I noticed that Galax and Nvidia recommend an 850W PSU, but that's likely based on setups with the 9950X, which runs hotter compared to my 7800X3D. Does anyone have experience with this configuration, or should I consider upgrading my power supply to a higher wattage? Thanks in advance!

It really depends on your entire setup. I think you're cutting it close with 750W. Can you share your full build specs? That'll help us better understand your needs.

Sure! Here's my setup: CPU: 7800X3D, Motherboard: B850M Aorus, RAM: Adata XPG 32GB, and I have 4 M.2 SSDs plus 5 case fans. My current GPU is a 3070 EVGA.

Most people would suggest upgrading your PSU for peace of mind. I'm using a 1000W with my 5080, and it feels more secure, especially under load.
