Is a 750W SFX PSU Enough for My 5080 and Ryzen 7 Setup?

I'm about to build a mini ITX setup featuring a Gigabyte 5080 Aero and an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X. I ended up purchasing a Cooler Master V750 SFX Gold PSU instead of the V850. Since the white V850s are out of stock in my area, returning the V750 isn't really an option. I'll mainly be using this build for gaming, particularly for AAA titles and lots of Apex Legends. Can anyone advise if the V750 PSU will be sufficient for my needs? I'm considering undervolting my GPU to handle longer gaming sessions. Thanks in advance for your help!

I wouldn’t recommend undervolting, as you might not get the performance you expect. It’s better to return the V750 and get the proper V850. The 750W output you’re looking at might not hold up under max load, leading to potential shutdowns after prolonged use. Better safe than sorry—go for the right power supply now!

If you stick with a 750W PSU, I’d suggest looking into the Corsair SF750 Platinum. It’s a solid alternative if you want something dependable. Just remember, you might be pushing it close to the limit with your setup.

Is your case ITX? If it’s not, I’d advise against using an SFX PSU. If it is, I’d still recommend returning the V750 and switching to a higher capacity PSU, like an 850W model or more. The Vetroo GV1000, Century II 1050W, and Core Reactor II are solid ATX options to consider.
