Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my GPU to a PNY 5080, assuming I can find one in stock. I'm wondering if my current power supply, a Corsair RM750x from 2019, will be sufficient for the setup. Here are my specs: Ryzen 7 7700x, Corsair iCUE H150i Elite, Gigabyte B650 Aorus Pro AX Elite AM5, 32GB Corsair Vengeance at 6000MHz, a 500GB Western Digital SN750E, a 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM, and a total of 9 Corsair ML120 Pro fans. PC Part Picker estimates my total power draw at around 651W with everything included. I'm also running a 4070 Ti with the same setup without issues. So, will the 750W power supply handle this, or should I play it safe and go for an 850W?

I think the RM750x should be fine for your build. Just keep in mind that high-end GPUs like the 5080 usually need three PCIe connections, so make sure you have the right cables. If you're worried about safety, avoid using pigtails for the connections; they're not the best solution. You might be fine with just two or three separate PCIe bundles!
Upgrading for rendering workloads makes sense; applications like Blender and 3DMax definitely benefit from having more VRAM. You'll likely find that the 5080's performance in those apps is pretty impressive! Just be aware that if you're planning on heavy 3D modeling, it's good to have extra headroom in your power supply.
Just a heads up – it might be a good idea to check if any specific features of the 5080 will really push the limits of your power supply when rendering.
I actually have two custom braided cables for PCIe. I can easily order a third one if I need to!
