Is a Ryzen 7 9700X a good choice for my build with a 3070?

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU after my Intel i7 13700k degraded. I've been advised to consider the Ryzen 7 9700X for tasks like Blender, video editing, music production, and gaming, specifically for titles like CS2 and Tarkov. I'm curious if anyone here has experience with a similar build and if you think this is the best option for achieving good performance or if there's something better I should consider.

If you're still using the 1700 motherboard, that's good! Just make sure to check for any BIOS updates to ensure compatibility with the new Ryzen 7 9700X. This CPU should handle your tasks well, especially for gaming and content creation.

Before investing in a new CPU, consider RMAing your current one. Updating the BIOS could prevent future issues with new CPUs as well. You might not even need to buy a new one if the current setup can be salvaged.
