I'm looking to upgrade from a 5600G to a 5800XT. I understand that the performance boost from a standard 5800X is not very significant for the price, but I'm willing to pay a bit more. I can't go for a 5800X3D since it's almost double the price of a used 5800XT. So, I have a be quiet Pure Rock 2 FX cooler. Will this be adequate for the 5800XT?

Be wary, the 5800XT tends to run pretty hot on the AM4 platform. It's one of the hotter cards out there!
The XT usually runs a bit warmer compared to the X version, especially under load!
It should work just fine! You can keep an eye on the temperatures for a few days after upgrading to be sure. If it runs too hot, the CPU will throttle itself to prevent damage, so as long as you have decent cooling, you should be okay.
Thanks for easing my worries! I recently got some Kryonaut Extreme thermal paste for free, so that should help a little. Just out of curiosity, how do the temperatures of the XT stack up against the X?
