Is a USB WiFi Adapter Good Enough Compared to Built-in Motherboard WiFi?

I'm about to build my first PC and rely on my phone's hotspot for internet. I've noticed that motherboards with built-in WiFi are quite a bit pricier than USB WiFi adapters in my region. Given that my hotspot speed is only 100 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload, would a USB WiFi adapter be a decent choice, or should I consider the more expensive motherboards?

I agree! USB adapters can be really convenient, but if you're often using your phone for tethering, maybe look into whether your phone supports USB tethering permanently. It could save you battery life and possibly give you a more stable connection. Just a thought!

If you're mainly using your phone hotspot, a USB WiFi adapter should work just fine for your needs. They often provide decent performance for everyday tasks, especially if you're not pushing for super high speeds. Just make sure to pick a good quality one that fits your budget!
